As of March 8, 2024, COVID-19 was removed from the Texas Notifiable Conditions list. This means that healthcare providers conducting COVID-19 tests are NOT required to report the results to the Health Department. The case numbers only reflect positive COVID-19 test results received.
The Corpus Christi - Nueces County Public Health District provides free at-home COVID-19 tests. Residents are provided with instructions on conducting the test and reporting the positive result. Residents can pick up the at-home COVID-19 test on Mondays only, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at the drive-thru at the Public Health District (1702 Horne Road, Corpus Christi, TX).
